Habitat Development Group was founded in 2004 by Cleighton Clark to concentrate on high quality; affordable multi-unit residential development. Since conception, the group has grown rapidly and has a number of exciting residential developments under construction and in the pipeline in South East Queensland.

 

Cleighton Clark – Managing Director

Cleighton started his career in property in 1998, working for his father’s company Clark Enterprises while completing a commerce degree from the University of Queensland.  Having managed several projects including, subdivisions, apartments and townhouse projects in Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Gladstone and North Queensland, Cleighton established Habitat Development Group Pty Ltd to focus on high quality; affordable multi-unit development. More recently, he established the Habitat Property Trust to retain some units in the group’s projects over the long term.  Cleighton oversees all projects from a strategic level while seeking new development opportunities to maintain the group’s return on equity targets long-term. Steele Clark – Director

Steele Clark joined the group as a Development Manager in 2005 having worked abroad for two years in construction. Prior to leaving Australia, he was also involved in Clark Enterprises and in carpentry for 4 years. Steele became a Director of Habitat Development Group in 2007 and is responsible for overseeing many of the groups’ development projects including Bottletrees at Buderim; which consists of 1000sqm of Commercial and Retail space and The Enclave Underwood, which consists of 57 x 3 bed units.  He also recently managed the successful completion of Cascades, a 16-unit villa development in Buderim.  In addition to overseeing some of the group’s projects, Steele is responsible for sourcing new opportunities in line with the company’s strategy and recently established the construction arm of the business; Habitat Construction Group Pty Ltd to undertake the construction of all Habitat projects' in-house.  To contact Steele; please phone or email 0432 655 528 or steele@habdev.com . 

  

Mark Aldridge – Construction Director

Mark joined Habitat Development Group in May 2007. His property experience was gained working as a Builder’s Contract Administrator, a Client Side Senior Project Manager, and as a Senior Quantity Surveyor; on residential, commercial and industrial projects. Mark’s tertiary qualifications are Bachelor of Construction Management (Hons) and Bachelor of Business, and industry qualifications as a qualified Quantity Surveyor (AAIQS) and Chartered Building Professional (MCIOB). As  a Director of Habitat's Construction Division; Mark is responsible for the successful delivery of projects within budget and program; from conception to completion.  Mark is also responsible for all relationships with Suppliers and Subcontractors.  To contact Mark; please phone 0434 211 190 or mark@habdev.com .

 

Wayne Edwards - Site Manager and Nominee

Wayne joined the Habitat team in January 2009 to head up the newly created Habitat Construction Group Pty Ltd in conjunction with Mark Aldridge.  He previously worked with Habitat on the Enclave Buderim; where he was the General Foreman and Supervisor for the Builder appointed by Habitat.  He has been in the construction industry for almost 30 years and has been a Qualified Builder for the past 18 years.
