Nov 07- Atrium Development at Buderim Development Approval Granted

The Maroochy Shire Council voted unanimously in early November 2007 to endorse the plans put forward by Habitat Development Group for the 266 multi-unit project called Atrium.  The Development Approval was granted at a meeting of full council.  Planning is well under way for commencement of works on the Atrium site, with construction to commence in early 2009. 

Dec 07 - Habitat purchases site next to Woolies in Sippy Downs

Habitat Development Group is delighted to have acquired a 3.3 Ha development site adjacent to the future Woolworths development in Sippy Downs in December 2007.  Woolworths intend to kick-start a multi-million-dollar town centre at Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast; which is directly opposite the University of the Sunshine Coast.  Habitat acquired the adjacent 3.3ha site as a strategic Investment in the future town centre and intends to develop a large scale multi-unit development to complement the retail and commercial uses proposed in the town centre. 

Mar 08 - Enclave Underwood Stage 1 nearly sold out

Following on from the success of The Enclave Buderim, which saw the entire 37 townhouse development sold out within record time, the release of Stage 1 at The Enclave Underwood has seen unprecedented sales. Apr 08 - Enclave Underwood Stage 1 sold out - Update on Stage 2 release

Following on from the success of The Enclave Buderim, which saw the entire 37 townhouse development sold out within 3 weeks, the release of Stage 1 at The Enclave Underwood has also seen unprecedented sales. Having been released to the market in April 2008, all 16 units in the first stage have already sold.  Habitat is now working on the release of the second stage which is sure to gain as much interest as the first.  Habitat sees the potential growth in both the area and the finished product, and as such we have decided to retain a number of the remaining town homes to put into our growing portfolio.  We are aiming to release the second stage to market in early June.  Watch this space for more information as is comes to hand.

Dec 08 - Enclave Underwood Complete

Practical Completion of the 57 unit development was reached in late December 2008 with only a few units remaining for sale.

Jan 09 - Habitat Development Group establishes construction arm; Habitat Construction Group

On the 30th January 2009; Habitat Construction Group Pty Ltd was issued a Building License (1155592) by the Building Services Authority.  The Directors of Habitat consider this a strategic move to take advantage of current market conditions as well as an opportunity to better manage the steady flow of work Habitat has on it's books for the next 5 years. 

Feb 09 - Enclave Underwood 98% Leased

Following a very brief rental campaign; almost all units are now tenanted; demonstrating very strong rental demand in the area and providing investors in the project with rental yields of over 5.5%.  With recent interest rate reductions; many units in the complex are now almost cash flow positive.
