Habitat Development Group was founded by Cleighton Clark in 2004 and specialises in multi-unit residential development.

Since inception, the group has completed a number of residential communities in South East Queensland that have sold and rented extremely well.

Habitat puts its success down to being able to deliver luxury properties at affordable prices. Habitat also ensures that its properties are located in growth areas, with good proximity to shopping, schools, transport, entertainment and employment opportunities; all factors which offer promise of above average capital growth over the long term. 

Despite the current economic downturn; Habitat continues to expand on their successes with a number of exciting residential developments currently under construction and in the pipeline in South East Queensland.

Habitat Construction Group is responsible for constructing all of Habitats' projects in-house. The construction group is overseen by professional and experienced managers with over 40 years combined experience. Day to day management of Habitat Construction Group is handled by Mark Aldridge and Wayne Edwards.

The Habitat Property Trust was established in 2006 to co-invest alongside clients in various Habitat properties. The simple reason being that Habitat has utmost confidence that the product they produce will provide above average capital growth over the long-term.

Cleighton Clark – Managing Director

Cleighton started his career in property in 1998, while completing a commerce degree from the University of Queensland. Following university; he travelled through Asia and Europe before settling in Spain. Having worked in the IT and finance industry briefly; he started a business marketing properties to English expatrites; before deciding to relocate back to Australia to focus on the strong property market there.  In 2004; he established  Habitat Development Group Pty Ltd to focus on high quality; affordable residential development. More recently, he established the Habitat Property Trust to retain properties in the group's projects over the long term. Cleighton oversees all projects from a strategic level, manages the finances of the company and is responsible for seeking new development opportunities in line with the group's long-term return on equity targets.

Steele Clark – Director

Steele Clark joined the group as a Development Manager in 2005 having worked abroad for two years in construction. Prior to leaving Australia, he worked for Clark Enterprises and was in carpentry for 4 years. Steele became a Director of Habitat Development Group in 2007 and is directly responsible for overseeing many of the groups' development projects. More recently; Steele successfully delivered the group's largest and most successful project; Enclave Underwood.  Steele is also a Director of the construction division and works closely with Mark Aldridge and Wayne Edwards.

Mark Aldridge – Construction Director

Mark joined Habitat Development Group in May 2007. His construction experience was gained working as a Builder's Contract Administrator, a Client Side Senior Project Manager, and as a Senior Quantity Surveyor; on residential, commercial and industrial projects. Mark's tertiary qualifications are Bachelor of Construction Management (Hons) and Bachelor of Business, and industry qualifications as a qualified Quantity Surveyor (AAIQS) and Chartered Building Professional (MCIOB). Mark has over 12 years experience in the Building Industry. As a Director of Habitat's Construction Division; Mark is responsible for the successful delivery of projects within budget and program; from conception to completion.

Wayne Edwards - Construction Manager

Wayne joined the Habitat team in January 2009 to head up Habitat Construction Group Pty Ltd in conjunction with Mark Aldridge. He previously worked with Habitat on the Enclave Buderim; where he was the General Foreman and Supervisor for the Builder appointed by Habitat. He has been in the construction industry for almost 30 years and has been a Qualified Builder for the past 18 years. Wayne oversees all of Habitat's projects from a construction point of view to ensure program and superior quality are maintained.
